Now, how about we celebrate a thousand years of Piccotts End!

May 2023
Last weekend’s street party was such a success that many residents are saying ‘let’s have another one next year!’ It’s a lovely idea and judging by the popularity of the Coronation event, with nearly 100 villagers, families and friends in attendance, would be well supported. The trouble is, we’ve had a Jubilee and a Coronation in the space of a year, what’s left to celebrate?

Happy and glorious street party!

May 2023
Everyone agreed. It was a right royal success. Nearly 100 villagers donned their red, white and blue best to make the Coronation Street Party a wonderful occasion. Even the sun came along!

Rain or shine, street party will be a sweet party!

May 2023
Sunday’s Coronation Street Party promises the sweet smell of success with nearly 100 residents, family and friends coming. With rain now forecast, wet weather gear will be the order of the day but the organising committee are determined not to let it spoil the event.

Holly & Rupert

Holly’s marathon triumph

April 2023
Piccotts End Supermum Holly Cross has done it again! Running only her second London Marathon at the weekend, Holly crossed the line in a personal best time of 4hrs 48 minutes – nearly half an hour quicker than the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt! Holly was running to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust.

PERA reports another busy year at AGM

April 2023
The annual AGM in March was well attended and residents heard from the chairman, secretary and treasurer that PERA (Piccotts End Residents Association) was in good shape. Social events included last year’s Jubilee street party and the fireworks party. This year plans were laid out for new events like the Coronation street party and a return of the popular Safari Supper. A new addition to the village was the erection of a noticeboard.
