PERA’s chairman Simon Lillystone has paid tribute to all the residents and organisers who helped make last Sunday’s Coronation Street Party such a wonderful event.
Last weekend’s street party was such a success that many residents are saying ‘let’s have another one next year!’ It’s a lovely idea and judging by the popularity of the Coronation event, with nearly 100 villagers, families and friends in attendance, would be well supported. The trouble is, we’ve had a Jubilee and a Coronation in the space of a year, what’s left to celebrate?
Everyone agreed. It was a right royal success. Nearly 100 villagers donned their red, white and blue best to make the Coronation Street Party a wonderful occasion. Even the sun came along!
Sunday’s Coronation Street Party promises the sweet smell of success with nearly 100 residents, family and friends coming. With rain now forecast, wet weather gear will be the order of the day but the organising committee are determined not to let it spoil the event.
Piccotts End Supermum Holly Cross has done it again! Running only her second London Marathon at the weekend, Holly crossed the line in a personal best time of 4hrs 48 minutes – nearly half an hour quicker than the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt! Holly was running to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust.
