‘I’d just like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all members of PERA’s committee for facilitating and coordinating everything that led to the most amazing Coronation Street Party. 

 

‘Additionally, I’d like to heap praises galore on Miriam for everything she did to make the day a total success, and similar praises must go to Carly, Sue, Caroline and Holly for their contributions; and then to Ena for judging the Coronation Cake Competition, which was won by Lynne and her daughter Katy.

 

Finally, I’d just like to thank all the residents who were able to join us on Sunday – nearly one hundred. In my short speech, ahem, and as a relative newcomer, I tried to convey my belief that Piccotts End is a wonderful, vibrant, and friendly community, and events such as Sunday prove that not only is it positively thriving, but that sense of community from one end of the road to the other is palpable.
