Perfect weather drew another big crowd to the village fireworks night. Nearly 100 guests enjoyed pork rolls with apple sauce, hot dogs with ketchup and a splendid display. At times it was as bright as daylight! PERA’s new chairman Simon Lillystone welcomed everyone, and gave special thanks to his wife Jane, Annette & Paul Harrison, Yvonne Metcalfe and her daughter Roseann, Heather Pears and PERA’s treasurer Harriet Twigger for their invaluable help in organising the event.
