Happy and glorious street party!
May 2023
Everyone agreed. It was a right royal success. Nearly 100 villagers donned their red, white and blue best to make the Coronation Street Party a wonderful occasion. Even the sun came along! PERA chairman Simon Lillystone led the loyal toast to the new king and everyone raised their glasses with an enthusiastic rendition of the national anthem. There were some mouth-watering cakes on display in the cake competition, which was won by Lynne Riley and her daughter Katy. They are pictured here with Simon and our cake judge, former village resident Ena Hartland, who turned 91 last year and was given a warm welcome by residents.
