Resident turns detective to reclaim stolen plant pot

When a sneak thief made off with Ramon Kirchgaesser’s planter from outside his house he was determined to get it back. With the help of a neighbour’s CCTV footage, Ramon, who lives at the Boars Head, got the number plate of the car involved in the theft. Following an appeal on social media he tracked it down to an address in Gadebridge where the very embarrassed felon owned up and the pot was returned. Describing how her husband tracked it down, Ramon’s wife Carly declared: ‘He proved that crime doesn’t pay!’
