Our congratulations to Amy Hughes, of Mill Close, who has just become Dr Amy. Her proud parents Marilyn and Derek held a celebration party marking Amy’s achievement. After graduating with a degree in geology from Liverpool University, ‘rock’ star Amy went on to do a doctorate in vulcanology, the study of volcanoes. Marilyn and Derek are pictured here at the degree ceremony.
