Safari Supper is back in busy programme of social events

PERA’s social secretary Annette Harrison announced a busy programme of social events at the AGM.

It will kick off with the Spring Brunch at the Marchmont Arms on Sunday May 12th (11am – 1pm). Next up will be the Summer Garden Party on Saturday July 6th (venue to to be confirmed).

In September it’s a welcome return for the Safari Supper. This will take place on Saturday the 21st. If you would like to host a starter or main course, or offer your home as a rendezvous for dessert and the final part of the evening please email Margaret Stanier margaretstanier@outlook.com

Residents fume at mess made by the Marchmont

Problems caused by the Marchmont Arms were one of the the main topics of conversation at this year’s PERA AGM. The secretary Michael Nidd reported how refuse and delivery lorries had churned up the grass verge by the pub and demolished decorative pots outside Blue Gates. The matter will be raised with the pub’s manager.
