Residents fume at mess made by the Marchmont

The churned up verge by the Marchmont ArmsProblems caused by the Marchmont Arms were one of the the main topics of conversation at this year’s PERA AGM. The secretary Michael Nidd reported how refuse and delivery lorries had churned up the grass verge by the pub and demolished decorative pots outside Blue Gates. The matter will be raised with the pub’s manager.

Concerns were also raised again about traffic using the village as a rat run. The committee will look into raising the issue with Herts Highways with a view to making the village a No Entry from the Leighton Buzzard Road  at peak times.

There was also a complaint about selfish parking in the vicinity of Piccotts End Lane where one resident she was frequently unable to park anywhere near her home.
