Plans for up to 350 homes and a new travellers’ site in fields adjacent to Piccotts End have been described as ‘pretty dire’ by PERA secretary Michael Nidd (pictured). Dacorum’s latest local planning framework documents show how a new roundabout will be built on Link Road to access the development beneath Grovehill. This will include 5 travellers’ pitches. The document says the new development, which the council aims to have completed by 2021, will be screened by trees from the fields separating it from Piccotts End. More details about the plan (LA1) can be found here. Mr Nidd will be voicing his own protest at the plans and invites any like-minded residents to join him.
